Ralston Autumn Festival

November 14, 2018

Over the course of the first weekend of November, the annual “Autumn Festival: An Arts and Crafts Affair” was presented and put on by Huffman Productions Inc. in the Omaha area. The event went on for a duration of four days (Thursday to Sunday). The 2018 Autumn Festival was showcased at the Ralston Arena located at 7300 Q St. Over 350 vendors were brought into Omaha to display their products. The festival was marketed heavily towards a family friendly setting with its appeal to all demographics. A majority of vendors and stations mainly are categorized under rustic and vintage-like. However, many are very in sync with the upcoming holiday season and chose to only showcase their Thanksgiving and Christmas themed items. Also, a large chunk of exhibits pertained to food and drink. Vendors sold many entrée items as well as seasonal treats and beverages. Samples of food and drinks were given out to customers, regardless if they purchased a specific product or not. Some of the featured food and beverage vendors included Coors Light, Lolligob, Maria’s Mexican Restaurant, Steve’s Kettle Corn, Completely Nuts, and Gardner’s Wisconsin Cheese and Sausage. Huffman Productions Inc. really aimed to get the customers involved and did regular drawings. Each hour a winner was announced on the intercom to claim his or her gift card to the festival vendors with various spending amounts. With the event being targeted to all demographics there was a very large variety of vendors. At the event, everything from fleece lined shirts to pest deterrent can be found and available for purchase. The show is very well known around the country. Since 1993, the Autumn Festival has been voted in “the top 100 shows in the nation” by the Sunshine Artist Magazine. The event is split into three areas- with the main area (located on the ground floor) having 100 booths! The other two areas were located at the second floor and on the base level of the arena. To eliminate stress over paying for parking spots, Huffman Productions Inc. made parking near all of the exits free for all the customers in attendance. Customers await the event for next year and are excited for what is in store.
