Boys Soccer season kicked off at Central on March 19th. Central finished with a 7-7 record in the 2025 season and look to improve immensely for 2026.
Coach Nicholas Webster is optimistic for his group to show improvement, “They show up on their own. They wake me up out of bed early on Saturday mornings because they want to get some extra work in,” Webstersaid. “They get active man, it’s a scrappy and physical group.
“This team is going to be ready for anything, they’re like the chihuahuas at the humane society, you know they get all active and get to barking and want to come after you,” Webster said.
Webster is prepared for a competitive season. “We did a lot of work in the offseason that prepares us to play a competitive schedule,” Webster said. “I want to see how the boys respond to playing some of the top talent in Nebraska and even in Iowa.”
Assist leaders Senior Delphin Majawila and Junior Kevin Platero will return from the 2025 season. Platero and Majawila had both had seven assists in the 2025 season.
“This is a very important season to us,” Platero said.

Next match against Columbus was a win. Columbus fell to a Luke Farrington shutout. Alongside goals by Zaakir Vance, Abase Lujendo and John Kerry Lucien.
